Established in 1996

Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University (BBAU), Lucknow is a Central University established by an Act of Parliament in 1996. The university is named after Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar, the chief architect of the Indian Constitution and a champion of social justice.

Spread over 250 acres in Vidya Vihar, Raebareli Road, Lucknow, the campus provides a serene environment conducive to learning and research. The university is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and has been accredited with 'A' grade by NAAC.

Application Process

Admissions are based on merit and entrance examinations. Apply online through our admission portal.

  • Undergraduate Programs: Based on CUET scores and merit.
  • Postgraduate Programs: Entrance test and interview.
  • Ph.D. Programs: NET/JRF or university entrance test.
  • International Students: Apply through International Students Office.
